In the Kansas City metro, a four-step fungicide program is designed to protect cool-season grasses (Tall Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass) from the region's high humidity and sudden temperature swings. Applications will be done about every three to four weeks to target peak disease pressure.

· Step 1: Early-Season Preventative (May) We will apply your first treatment when night temperatures consistently stay above 60°F. This typically coincides with the onset of high humidity in May. We use a broad-spectrum liquid fungicide that targets early threats like Leaf Spot and Dollar Spot.

· Step 2: Early-Summer Protection (June) The timing of this fungicide application is critical for preventing Brown Patch, which thrives in Kansas City's humid mid-summer nights.

· Step 3: Mid-Summer Reinforcement (July) The third round will be applied in July when heat and humidity are at their peak. This step specifically guards against Summer Patch and Pythium Blight.

· Step 4: Late-Season Transition (August) The final application protects against late-summer outbreaks and prepares the lawn for fall recovery. This is especially important if you plan on overseeding in September, as it ensures the existing turf is healthy enough to support new growth.

TIPS:

· Never water in the evening. Your lawn needs to be dry at dusk

· Mow during the cooler part of the day, if possible.

· Keep mower blades sharp.

· The underside of your mower must be kept clean.

· Don’t share your mower with neighbors.

· Set the mower deck at 3 inches or higher.

· Minimize foot traffic on lawn.
