Tire marks are virtually unavoidable when we have copious amounts of rain. When the rain becomes sparse and tire marks are still happening, you may need to change watering days so sprinkler water has at least a day to drain away and the ground can dry up before your Mow Day. If it isn’t the watering days, you may have a sprinkler leak, or a drainage issue. Regular fertilizer applications will help keep your lawn healthy as well. Consider a verticut and overseed in the fall, or landscape beds where grass doesn't grow well, and rings around trees to cover surface roots.
